Rivers Parted

from Indigo by MAMA CROW

about

this is a special track that mysteriously did not make it onto the first few hundred prints. after many hours, the co-producer and i listened to the final master of all 10 songs before we balanced it out for printing. all 10 songs were on there!

~However, when we got the printed CD's back in our possession, River's Parted was missing and there was a mysteriously, glitchy noise in its place. the printers- love them- said how they just copied the master we gave them- with no interference. some say a coincidence or electronic mishap....i think it was paranormal.

~either way~

HERE IT IS! a gem not to be missed!

i decided to share this track for free for all of those who missed out on the first few hundred copies. for everyone else, it is a treat* : )

enjoy.

lyrics

here it goes again
i set myself a trap i was bound to get caught in
i see clearly now

guilt tied to my wrists tight
and its a weight that just don't feel right
what can i say?
is it a shame or just a game that we are
playing this way?
well, we're too close.
it's too close to tell.

Oh, I'm running on empty and I know
I've got to keep on pushing, pushing til I get there
The race has started- the rivers parted
They say the end is always near
And its amaizng what you can manifest
When you got yourself at best or when you really care

When you enter in a circle
That you draw for yourself
You're gonna feel those vibes
Like they're all in disguise
They smile and wave
As they pass messages
Through their eyes
But its too quick to catch
You're intuitive to their toss
And in the end well you know
Or at least you hope that it
Ain't no big loss

Oh, I'm running on empty and I know
I've got to keep on pushing, pushing til I get there
The race has started- the rivers parted
They say the end is always near
And its amaizng what you can manifest
When you got yourself at best or when you really care

I was afraid to feel loved
But i didn't want to lose ya
I was ashamed to say that i was on my way love
Cuz i didn't want to hurt ya
And i know that wasn't fair love
Wish i could change my choices back there
There's a lesson in every corner, i swear

I wanna hurry up an heal
But it just don't happen that ay
Time slows me down
And i just don't know what to say (Look out!)
So i look out the window
What do i see?
Is it you looking back at me
Maybe its just the highway- it's hard to say
Oh- it could be the ocean

Oh I'm running on empty and I know
I've got to keep on pushing, pushing til I get there
The race has started- the rivers parted
They say the end is always near
And its amazing what you can manifest
When you got yourself at best or when you really care

When you really care
When you really care
When you really care (When you care!)
When you really care
