DragonFly .:. The Challenges

After years of playing live in the Bay Area, touring up and down the west coast, the life she left behind began to catch up with her. Past pain, struggle, tragic loss of friends to overdose, suicide and drunk driving; this
survivor had to slow down and begin to look at what was there. She was running towards her "dreams" and unknowingly from herself. On the journey, the less amicable parts are just as important to have voice, as are the bright and shiny parts. This song was recorded in the bedroom of producer and musician Daniel Lofredo Rota in West Oakland, CA. It is a sonic glimpse into her internal process of that chapter. In a way, this song is a plea from her higher self to remember her original mission and to not try and escape the challenges.
